Sonia La Penna
Sonia La Penna is an accomplished HR Executive and the Director of HR Synergy Consulting. Sonia brings over 20 years HR experience from frontline HR advisory services through to executive management providing her with extensive knowledge and experience in contemporary people, culture and leadership practices.
Sonia has professionally practiced in Australia, Singapore, China, New Zealand and the United States of America. Her professional career extends across a number of industries including: retail and distribution, supply chain, contract management services for the Australian Defence Industry, hospitality, health and financial services.
Sonia takes her education and training seriously, obtaining formal qualifications in Human Resources and Business Management with an MBA in Strategy and Leadership from QUT (2018). Sonia is also an accredited Workplace Trainer and Assessor, Certified REACH Ecosystem Practitioner, Certified AdaptiQ Minds Practitioner, Member of Women on Boards (WoB), Australian Human Resources Institute of Australia – CAHRI Member and a proud Business Women Australia (BWA) Member.
Sonia enjoys conducting presentations at industry forums and sharing her knowledge and experience with fellow professionals across various sectors, including: Chair 2016 Women in Leadership Banking and Finance Conference in Sydney, 2018 Brisbane HR Summit, 2019 HRD National HR Summit Australia.
